Privacy Policy
How we handle information on this website. This policy does not replace your Notice of Privacy Practices for protected health information.
Effective date: May 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Action Potential, PLLC, which operates the Mississippi Motion practice (together, "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit mississippimotion.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Scope of this policy
The Site is a marketing and general information resource. It is not a patient portal and is not intended for emergency communications. Information you submit through the Site (if any interactive features are added in the future) may be handled as described here unless a separate notice applies.
Protected health information (PHI) collected in the course of treatment or operations is governed by the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive when you become a patient. This Privacy Policy focuses on typical website and online analytics data. If you have questions about PHI, contact us using the information at the end of this page or ask for our Notice of Privacy Practices at your visit.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Site, we or our vendors may collect the following categories of information:
- Device and usage data. Such as browser type, operating system, approximate region derived from IP address, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps. This data helps us understand how the Site is used and improve content and performance.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies, pixels, and similar tools as described in Section 4.
- Information you provide voluntarily. If you email us, call us, or use links to send a text message, we receive whatever information you choose to include (for example, your phone number or message content). Standard telephone and SMS charges may apply according to your carrier plan.
We do not use the Site to knowingly collect sensitive categories of information (such as precise geolocation through a dedicated app) beyond what typical browsers and analytics tools collect automatically.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
- Measure traffic and engagement and improve layout and content;
- Respond to inquiries you send us;
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information for money as that term is commonly understood under U.S. state laws.
4. Cookies and analytics
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies from us and from third-party service providers, including but not limited to:
- Google Analytics (or a successor product) to understand aggregate Site usage. You can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on where available.
- Hotjar or similar session analytics tools that help us see how visitors interact with pages (in aggregate or pseudonymous form, depending on configuration). See Hotjar's privacy documentation for details on their processing.
- Embedded widgets (for example, review or badge widgets) that load scripts or content from third-party domains. Those providers may collect data according to their own policies when their code runs on our pages.
You can control many cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how the Site functions.
5. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who host the Site, provide analytics, or support communications, subject to contractual obligations to use data only for the services they perform for us;
- Professional advisers (such as attorneys or accountants) when necessary;
- Authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our patients, staff, or the public.
If we ever engage in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information held in connection with the Site may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
6. Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Analytics providers may retain data according to their own schedules.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through the Site. No method of transmission over the Internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws (for example, rights to access, delete, or opt out of certain processing). To submit a request related to information collected through this Site, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by law.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended. We describe our practices in this policy; you may contact us to learn more or to exercise applicable rights.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Third-party sites
The Site may link to social networks, maps, review platforms, or other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to read those policies before you submit information to them.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy, except where law requires a different form of consent.
